<Below this line, in what way does your code behave incorrectly? Include ALL error messages.>
Getting this error when I try to submit. Any suggestions?

Oops, try again.
Did you remember to give your image a 1px solid #4682b4 border?

<!DOCTYPE html>
        <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
        <h1>Anything you want.</h1>
        <p>Any text you like in there.</p>
        <img src=""/>

h1 {
    font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;
    color: #576d94;
p {
    font-size: 18px;
    color: #4A4943;
    font-family: Garamond, serif;
img {
    height: 100px;
    width: 300px;
    border: 1px solid #4682b4;

are you sure thats how you have the css in your stylesheet.css file? can you add a screen shot. What you have entered should work thats why i’m asking

Your code is correct, make sure your browsers zoom is on 100%

Here are screenshots of what it looks like.

Control + 0 brought me no luck. My screen zoom is at 100%. Using Firefox.

Here’s the HTML if needed too.

Try refreshing the page and changing the image tag to:

<img src="" />

Have you tried using a different browser?

try refreshing the page, if that doesn’t work try to close out and reopen page i’ve had to do that before.

I tried what zainabrawat said and refreshed and replaced the line of img code and it still gave the same error.

I tried using Chrome instead of Firefox like what William suggested and it’s making me start over from wayyyyy back in this section. See screenshot. Tried logging out and back in to see if it would refresh but it didn’t.

Then I did what cfecteau1 said, closed my Firefox browser and reopened. Logged back into Codecademy and now Firefox is also starting me at 10. The Importance of Semicolons same as Chrome was and it appears I have now lost all my progress from 10 to 25.

Fantastic. :’(

Quite odd behavior try going through the lessons again(I know you won’t be happy about this but it will be good practice for your coding skills) and let us know what happens thereafter

Hmm, that shouldn’t have happened as far as I know :confused: At the menu for your html & css does it say that the percentage of your progress is less than it was before it restarted you at that point?

I’m so sorry that all your work was lost, that’s happened to me once before not nearly as many items though i only lost 2 in the interactive website path. If I would have known that would have happened I would not have recommended to exit. More than likely though there was some sort of issue for your data to be lost like that. When I used your answer it worked fine for me in chrome. Hope that doesn’t discourage you from continuing. and once again I am sorry

It says 45%. When I started today it was like 20% so I’m not sure how far it was when this happened I didn’t ever go look.

And I guess I have no choice but to just redo all of it unless you guys have any other ideas… :confused: :cry:

I’m going to go buy a burrito. Haha. Fml.

Thanks for your help though guys. :slight_smile:

(And it’s okay cfecteau1! You were just trying to help. Not your fault.)

No can’t say I can think of anyway to retrieve your data, if it’s gone it may not have saved to their db correctly for some reason. When it happened to me I had to redo the 2 problems, but it did work correctly afterwards. .

Well, I hope that you enjoy writing html & css, if you do then that should make it easier and more fun to recover your progress :slight_smile:

Guys this is killing me. :skull_crossbones::sweat_smile: I redid everything and I’m back to that same one. I remade the code, and used an image I got from google instead of the recommended one, and it’s still giving me the saaaaame error.

What do I do? :joy: Trying to stay positive! Lol.
Is there a way to like escalate it to have it skip this one?
I have to finish this course for work.

And it says 55% done right now. I checked this time. :slight_smile:

This looks like a bug but this doesn’t happen to all users just some unfortunate users :cry:

However I have found a work around, do the following:

  1. Logout of Codecademy
  2. Go to
  3. Click save and submit once it shows that you passed don’t click to go to the next lesson
  4. You will see create account or login on the top right hand side corner, click on login and put in your login details.

Now you will see that your lesson will be checked as passed :slight_smile:

Hope it works and sorry for the inconvenience :green_heart:

No luck for me still. :cry:
Sounded like a great idea though! :purple_heart:

I sent a message to them here about the bug and hopefully they can do something. The auto-respond email that came back said it could take up to 72 hours though.
