See how to travel on Airbnb

#1

It keeps giving me an error that says exactly:Oops, try again. The a element should have text, for example: "See how to travel on Airbnb".My code is this:

<p>
	<a href="#"See how to travel on Airbnb</a>
</p>

Some help please.

<a href="#"See how to travel on Airbnb</a>

You are just missing the > from the opening tag.

<a href="#">See how to travel on Airbnb</a>

#3

oops didnt see that,thanks

#4

could you also tell me whats wrong with this?
.jumbotron p{
color:#fff;
I keep getting an error that says :Oops, try again. Set the color of the p element inside

..
to #fff

#5

Could you post all of your CSS code please?

.nav a{
    color: #5a5a5a;
    font-size: 11px;
    font-weight: bold;
    padding-top: 14px;
    padding-bottom: 14px;
    padding-left: 10px;
    padding-right: 10px;
    text-transform: uppercase
}

.jumbotron {
    height: 500px;
    background-image: url('https://goo.gl/04j7Nn');

    .jumbotron h1{
        color #fff;
        font-size 48px;
        font-weight bold;

    .jumbotron h1 p {
    color #fff;
    font-size: 20px;
}

#7

You are missing two of your closing curly braces there.

In that last CSS rule, you should be selecting the p elements in the jumbotron -- you don't need an h1 in there as well.

edit: at this point I should have noticed the missing colons.

#8

i tried that and it gave me an error as well,then i added the h1 to see if that would work

#9

It should be looking like this:

.nav a{
color: #5a5a5a;
font-size: 11px;
font-weight: bold;
padding-top: 14px;
padding-bottom: 14px;
padding-left: 10px;
padding-right: 10px;
text-transform: uppercase
}
.jumbotron {
height: 500px;
background-image: url('https://goo.gl/04j7Nn');
}
.jumbotron h1{
color #fff;
font-size 48px;
font-weight bold;
}
.jumbotron p {
color #fff;
font-size: 20px;
}
correct?

#10

That CSS code is perfect.

Try this first:
- reload/refresh the web page

If that doesn't work,
- use the Reset Code button

#11

Thats weird,its still not working.but as long as i know the code is right,ill just skip ahead.Thanks

#12

this isnt working either :confused:

.nav a{
    color: #5a5a5a;
    font-size: 11px;
    font-weight: bold;
    padding-top: 14px;
    padding-bottom: 14px;
    padding-left: 10px;
    padding-right: 10px;
    text-transform: uppercase
}
.jumbotron {
    height: 500px;
    background-image: url('https://goo.gl/04j7Nn');
}
.jumbotron h1{
        color #fff;
        font-size 48px;
        font-weight bold;
        font-family 'Shift',sans-serif;
}

im suppost to be setting it to sans serif but it keeps giving me an error
and neither does this:

.nav a{
    color: #5a5a5a;
    font-size: 11px;
    font-weight: bold;
    padding-top: 14px;
    padding-bottom: 14px;
    padding-left: 10px;
    padding-right: 10px;
    text-transform: uppercase
}
.jumbotron {
    height: 500px;
    background-image: url('https://goo.gl/04j7Nn');
}
.jumbotron h1{
        color #fff;
        font-size 48px;
        font-weight bold;
        font-family 'Shift',sans-serif;
}
<div class="learn-more">{
    background-color #f7f7f7
    /div
}

im getting a bit fed up with html

#13

You are missing all of the colons in those lines.

#14

even with the colons im still getting errors

#15

<div class="learn-more">{
    background-color #f7f7f7
    /div
}

In your second example you have put some HTML tags in your CSS file. The CSS interpreter has no idea what to do with those.
