SASS course bug

#1

Just started on the SASS course. 15 minutes in got really frustrated over differences between what the instructions want you to do and what the solution is… So here’s a bug report.

On this exercise you are asked to nest some rules of code.

This is the code I need to nest:

.slogan {
  position: absolute;
  border: 4px solid black;
  top: 200px;
  left: 25%;
  width: 50%;
  height: 200px;
  text-align: center;
}

Following the instructions I nest it inside .banner as follows:

.banner {
  font-family: 'Pacifico', cursive;
  height: 400px;
  background-image: url("lemonade.jpg");

  .slogan {
  	position: absolute;
  	border: 4px solid black;
  	top: 200px;
  	left: 25%;
  	width: 50%;
  	height: 200px;
  	text-align: center;
	}
}

Press run, “Did you nest and apply the properties to .slogan?” I did exactly what was asked but it is wrong? I call for the solution and behold:

.banner {
  font-family: 'Pacifico', cursive;
  height: 400px;
  background-image: url("lemonade.jpg");
  border : {
    top: 4px solid black;
    bottom: 4px solid black;
	}

  .slogan {
  	position: absolute;
  	border: 4px solid black;
  	top: 200px;
  	left: 25%;
  	width: 50%;
  	height: 200px;
        background-color: $translucent-white;
       text-align: center;

    span {
      font-size: 24px;
  		line-height: 200px;
		}
	}
}

The span rules are added in a later step but all the sudden there are 4 new lines border : { top: 4px solid black; bottom: 4px solid black; } out of nowhere… No wonder my code is wrong…

#2

Behold, the first step in the next assignment I am asked to nest the code from the previous post…

border : {
    top: 4px solid black;
    bottom: 4px solid black;
}

So I just run the code because the lines are already there and it gives the following error:

expected div.banner to have its border-bottom style equal to 4px solid black but got 3.53333px solid #000000

Que? How can it be 3.53333px thick whilst the declaration calls for 4px. I call for the solution once again and there is literally no change in the code at all.
