Routes Syntax Error

I am having an issue that seems common in the forum. I have created the pages_controller.rb with the following code and prgressed past step 3.

class PagesController < ApplicationController

def home

On step 4 i am trying to set the request/response in the routes. Here is that code.

Rails.application.routes.draw do
  get 'welcome'=>'pages#home'
  # The priority is based upon order of creation: first created -> highest priority.

I get a syntax error.

Oops! The test returned an error. Maybe you have a syntax error, or a typo. Hide error.
/var/lib/gems/2.0.0/gems/activesupport-4.1.1/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:478:in `load_missing_constant’: Circular dependency detected while autoloading constant ApplicationController (RuntimeError)

This might sound dumb, but be sure that the last line in the routes.rb is end. Some folks delete all the comments not realizing that bit of code is at the very bottom.
