Rock Lesson 6

#1

Oops, try again. there was a problem with your syntax.

var compare = function (choice1, choice2){
    if (choice1 === choice2)
    {
    return "The result is a tie!"
    }
        if (choice1 === "rock")
        {
            if (choice2 === "scissors")
            {
            return "rock wins"
            } else {
            return "paper wins"
            }
        }
    }
}

#2

You aren't using elif's whatsoever, so there's a start...

Do you have a specific question we can help you with, or...?

#3

first time here on the forums, just figured it out the layout and the else brackets were not included

#4

No worries. Glad you found a solution!

#5

I got a unexpected end of input.
/*var userChoice = prompt("Do you choose rock, paper or scissors?");
var computerChoice = Math.random();
if (computerChoice < 0.34) {
computerChoice = "rock";
} else if(computerChoice <= 0.67) {
computerChoice = "paper";
} else {
computerChoice = "scissors";
} console.log("Computer: " + computerChoice);*/
var compare = function(choice1, choice2) {
if (choice1 === choice2) {
return "The result is a tie!";
}
else if (choice1 === "rock") {

    if(choice2 === "scissors") {
        return "rock wins";
    }
    else {
        return "paper wins";

    }

};
