Review my portfolio project, what should i improve to put it in my resume?

I am wondering about if this project actualy displays enough ability to help land a job, and if it should be part of my repo, please let me know.

Project wasn’t that hard, but wondering about how much more things I should add.
Took me roughly an hour and a half.

Make sure your repo is set to Public.

Should be fixed thankyou so much!

Hi,

Very happy to offer my thoughts on the project, but couldn’t advise as far as it’s professional appropriateness goes - I’m in the same boat as you!

What Went Well

  • Good command of creating classes and functions. Sometimes perhaps overkill in a project of this size, but could to demonstrate the capacity.
  • I felt the concept of the testing of average age with and without children was a nice line of enquiry, in that it may have a bearing on insurance costs.
  • Code was generally neat, easy to follow and concise
  • Demonstrated facility with other libraries and with data vis

Even Better If

  • A lot of the things from the Kanban board weren’t in this notebook, and indeed no cells contained anything other than code. I think there’s an opportunity here to show us how you think and work, which in something heading towards your portfolio would be no bad thing!
  • Maybe worth including a cell that introduces the project - what, on a general level, is this?
  • Something towards scoping
  • Something about what you conclude from you investigation
  • Some sense of where you might take it next - what further data would be useful, etc
  • I do definitely think you want to demonstrate how you comment code, because it has a bearing on how you work with others.

Hope that helps. Just my opinions, and I’m green as grass around here…
