Repository not found?

#1

Please help!
After following all the steps I finally got to the
git push -u origin master
command and I got this error:
fatal: repository 'https://github.com/pique0822/pique0822/github.io.git/' not found
What am I doing wrong?

If you follow that URL, what do you get?

While you are at GitHub, check what the correct URL is for your new repository.

#3

When I follow the URL it gives me a 404...

The correct URL is:
https://github.com/pique0822/pique0822.github.io.git

If you check on your remote with

git remote -v

you likely see the bad URL - yes?

You can remove remotes with:

git remote rm remotename

Ahh I got it finally!
Thanks so much!
