[reported #34] 7. font-size: 2rem; fails despite being correct

This problem has been reported to the people who can help.

###URL: Exercise 7. font-size
###How to reproduce

  1. submit correct answer for checkpoints 1 and 2
  2. submit correct answer for checkpoint 3
    p {
      font-size: 2rem;
    }

Expected Result: checkpoint passes
Observed Result: checkpoint fails despite user’s correct code

###Workaround

  • try resetting your browser’s zoom to default, ctrl 0 (PC), cmd 0 (Mac)
  • try a different web browser

Using this works for some people:

    p {
      font-size: 36px;
    }

Hello,

I kept typing codes below to add font-size of 2rem for the p selector:
p {
font-size: 2rem;
}

But the site just show me error message like this, please help. Thanks!

Could you paste in all of your CSS code maybe there’s a break in one of the other elements thus it won’t run

My code: Thanks!

body {
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
text-align: center;
width: 100%;
}

h1 {
font-size: 32px;
font-family: Palatino, ‘Palatino Linotype’, serif;
color: rgb(218,190,206);
}

h2 {
font-size: 56px;
}

.hero {
padding: 250px 0;
margin: 30px;
}

p {
font-size: 2rem;
}

.hero a {
color: #00FFAA;
font-size: 24px;
text-decoration: none;
font-size: 1.5em;
}

Whats the 0 for ? remove it and run your code

I just removed it but it didn’t work…sigh. Thanks.

Check if your browsers zoom is at 100%

Yeah it is. (I’m in Taiwan so the language showed is Chinese and my browser is Chrome.)

So odd, please try on another browser or maybe reset the code and add in the p styling again … Possibly a glitch

Thanks, zainabrawat.
I reported it to the site. Hope they’ll solve it for me.

Definitely an issue. I’m also getting stuck at the same spot. It’s not user error.

Hi,

Somebody in other thread said we can try to add p {"font-size: 32px;} instead of the code.

I tried and it works.

Thanks! I tried the “32px” too and it worked. Codeacademy needs to fix this. It’s been wrong for at least 4 days. It’s slowed my progress down.

p {
font-size: 2rem;
}

This is the code I have entered, and it is still saying incorrect.

could you paste in all of your code from CSS

body {
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
text-align: center;
width: 100%;
}

h1 {
font-size: 32px;
font-family: Palatino, ‘Palatino Linotype’, serif;
color: rgb(218,190,206);
}

h2 {
font-size: 56px;
}

.hero {
padding: 250px 0;
margin: 30px;
}

p {
font-size:2rem;
}

.hero a {
color: #00FFAA;
font-size: 24px;
text-decoration: none;
font-size: 1.5em;
}

body {
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
text-align: center;
width: 100%;

h1 {
font-size: 32px;
font-family: Palatino, ‘Palatino Linotype’, serif;
color: rgb(218,190,206);

h2 {
font-size: 56px;

.hero {
padding: 250px 0;

font-size: 2rem;

Whats the 0 for ?

If removed code should work

Still not working. I have not changed the padding on this lesson.
