Anyone else find it weird how the REIT project required us to use some functions we weren’t familiarized with in the tutorials.

Yes, there were actually some functions in the project (such as .diff, .mean, .std) which were not taught in the lessons.
To be honest, I think that Codecademy teachers wanted us to understand the basics of these functions during the lesson, but then provided us with some simplified modules/functions in the project that automatically do all of the behind the scenes work.
By the way, did you get the same data/results in your project as in the solution file?
I was able to complete the project, but from the very beginning different data was imported into my notebook so I got completely different results!
