Hi the intruction says..

On line 7, reassign meal to the value of itself + itself * tax. And yes, you're allowed
You made that itself + itself * tax

meal  + meal *  tax

you forgot to saved it in meal

To complete @wizmarco 's statement:

It should be meal = meal+meal*tax. Make sure to make that distinction, otherwise you will end up with random numbers being computed without doing anything.
