React - how to find parent component of props

Hi, I am currently taking the Codecademy intensive course on React.JS, it is going well so far!

I am now working on creating and passing properties between components. I understand the basic mechanics, but one thing I haven’t figured out yet: how does one track the source of a component’s props that were set in another component?

In the exercises it is easy as we have generally worked with only two or sometimes three components, but imagining a large application with many components, I am not sure how I would find the parent component where the props were defined and passed into the child component (assuming I am viewing the child component).

Is this something I can expect in upcoming lessons, or something I have overlooked? Thanks, Jason
