Quick question, in Python,


Is there any difference between the single quote ' and the double quote " ? So far, I've not identified a difference and they are NOT interchangable in other languages that I've learned


All that matters is that they are paired up on the string they enclose.

'single quoted string'

"double quoted string"

Both are valid forms.


There really is no difference when referring to string data types.

It will be good you maintain a consistent practice in use. :slight_smile:


Thanks guys. This is what I felt, at least from my place in the course. I know that in C/C++ there is a definite difference, likewise Java-script, and of course Java, C#, etc...
