Question about linking fonts in CSS

I just had a quick question about this topic. It’s about linking fonts from the Google Fonts directory, and in the first part of the activity, all you have to do is enter the font family as you normally would. However, for the second part, it requires you put quotation marks around the font. Can someone explain why that is? They were both linked the exact same way in index.html

h1 {
  color: #FFF;
  font-size: 32px;
  font-family: "Playfair Display", Serif;
  padding-top: 100px;
  text-align: left;
  width: 60%;

That’s the rule for font-family references that contain more than one word.
