Python: Syntax Error when defining a function

Hello, and welcome to the forums!

It looks like you’re missing an end parenthesis ) for your last print(). That causes the parser to continue looking through to the end of the file, even if they are just empty lines.

why did it still have errors when I add the last end parenthesis?

Look closely at the error messages. It’s completely different than your original error message. Now you need to continue debugging based on your new error message.

In this case, look closely at the difference in spelling of accelaration and acceleration. You’re using them both.

If you get a different error after you correct the issue, then you’ll need to debug that too by examining the error message and your code.
