Strings and Console Output

On 4/16 it is asking for the 5th letter using monty but if you start counting from 0 as instructed there is no fifth letter.

if i tell you to get me the 5th item, you start counting at one.

this done on purpose to make you aware of the difference between the 5th item (counting start at one) and 5th index (counting start at zero)

if the instructions would have said: 5th index, yea, that would be slightly problematic.

but the instructions tell you to start counting from 0

for the indexes, yes. But if we count items in a list, i still start counting at 1, and i have been programming for a while

its important to distinguish between indexes and items/values in a list

Ok i think i understand. thanks
