On line 16, what does the quotation marks and f mean?

Hi @gigasolver54144,

The "%.2f" is an example of a format specifier for use with the % string interpolation operator. In this particular case, it specifies how the value of total is to be displayed as it is output. The f stands for float, referring to a number that includes a fractional component that follows a decimal point. The .2 in there specifies that it should be displayed rounded to two places following the decimal point.
