The code below (all the way down) to do with PygLatin wordUp -8 seems to work fine by and large. if the word is NOT alphanumeric I want it to print the word entered in lowercase AND print the first letter of that word. if the word is alphanumeric or if I just hit the enter key I want it to go the else statement and say empty. It does this and executes the code but gives the following message when I dont give a word and just hit ENTER or give an alphanumeric word
Oops, try again. It looks like word is set to "roach" instead of "".
BTW roach is the previous nonalphanumeric word that I tried
pyg = 'ay'
original = raw_input('Enter a word:')
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
word = original.lower()
first = word
WHY IS THIS SO AND HOW CAN I CORRECT IT SO THAT IT DOES NOT GIVE THAT MESSAGE
