The name would be at index 0 for the inner list (represented by transaction_clean previously).
However, transactions_clean is a 2D list (a list of lists)

so
transactions_clean[0] is ['Edith Mcbride', '$1.21', 'white', '09/15/17']
and
transactions_clean[0][0] is 'Edith Mcbride' since that’s at index 0 in the list from transactions_clean[0]
similarly,
transactions_clean[1][0] is 'Herbert Tran'
transactions_clean[2][0] is 'Paul Clarke'

If you wanted to print each name to the console/screen,
you might do:

for i in range(len(transactions_clean)):
  print(transactions_clean[i][0])

or

for transaction in transactions_clean:
  print(transaction[0])
