puython variable equal to 1.234

I don’t know what does that mean and how to do/calculate that??

You don’t actually need to calculate it; That’s the programs’ job… :sweat_smile:

Let’s say I’m given a number x and told to square x. Well, x squared is just another way of saying .

In python is written as x ** 2 (The ** operator denotes exponentiation).

Knowing this, let’s say I am told to make a variable called x and set it equal to 5. I am then told to make a new variable called y and set it equal to x squared. I would accomplish this by doing:

x = 5
y = x ** 2
