Pyq latin translator says everything is correct but results don't show

#1

I cannot seem get the correct results but when I put results even when the tutorial tells me the code is correct, Ido not get any error messages but I also do not get results.

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
word=original.lower()
first=word[0]
new_word=word+first+pyg
print original
new_word = new_word[1:len(new_word)]
else:
print 'empty'

Could someone point out my errors please?

Try printing word instead of original. Printing original doesn't give you the lowercase version of itself, but printing word will because that is the lowercase version of original.

Good luck!

Thanks that worked to make it lowercase but no pyg latin is showing up, going to fiddle around a bit more.
