Pyglatin wrong (help me with that?)

"PYGLATIN - Move it on Back". This my tag relating to the section on the course of Python and I’m need help for that

pyg = 'ay'
original = raw_input('Enter a word:')
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
  word = original.lower()
  first = word[0]
  new_word = "word. first. pyg."
    print 'empty'

Why this retourned ‘Oops! Did you accidentally delete the word variable?’ … my cod It’s ok I thinking :confused:


Hi there! Is it possible to post a link to the exercise for context? I’m not sure what you need to achieve in context of the exercise.

maybe this:

new_word = "word. first. pyg."

should be

new_word = word + first + pyg

or maybe …

new_word = word[1:] + first + pyg

since you can combine strings using + in Python.
(I think . is for Perl and some other languages.)
