PygLatin, Pt. 2 move it on back

#1

I keep getting the "Way to go!" message but my code is not in lowercase.I type in Hello and I get Hello back.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    word = original.lower()
    first = word[0]
    new_word = word + first + pyg
    print original
else:
    print 'empty'

#2

inside the if what are you printing?what should you print?

you made change in the variable named new_word

#3

So, this is part of your code;

new_word = word + first + pyg
print original
else:
print 'empty'

instead of "print original" you need to put "print new_word". I had the same problem that you are having until I thought that. I hope it works for you :slight_smile:
