PygLatin - Oops! Did you accidentally delete the variable called original?

#1

Hi guys,

I get the message:

"Oops, try again. Oops! Did you accidentally delete the variable called original?"

Can someone explain me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Here is my code:

'''
print ('Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!')

original = input("Enter a word:")

if len(original) > 0:
print (original)
else:
print ("empty")
'''

try typing raw_input("Enter a word: ") instead of input, because you can only type integer in input and not strings

thank frozen tofu, I tried to run raw_input in python 3 but it didnt work there. However, it solved my problem here i codeacademy :slightly_smiling: !

You're welcome :slightly_smiling:

As far as I know does Python 3 not use raw_input and uses input instead for both int and str. In Codeacademy Python 2.7 is used which is why you had the issues
