Pyglatin:9. Move it on Back Stuck and ERROR does not make sense

#1

Please help!
code below

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    word = original.lower()
    first = word[0]
    if first == "a" or first == "e" or first == "i" or first == "o" or first == "u":
    new_word = word + first + pyg
    print new_word
    else:
    print "consonant"
else:
    print 'empty'

ERROR Message:
Oops, try again. Did you create a variable called new_word?
File "python", line 9
new_word = word + first + pyg
^
IndentationError: expected an indented block

I have tried again with the following code
pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
print True
word = original.lower()
word = "boobs"
print True

first = word[0]
new_word = word + first + pyg
print True

else:
print 'empty'

Then moved on to the next exercise, and continued with my original code:

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
if first == "a" or first == "e" or first == "i" or first == "o" or first == "u":
new_word = word + pyg
print new_word
else:
new_word = word[1:] + first + pyg
print new_word
else:
print 'empty'

this time it passed with the new code included.

I'm so confused.

#2

You need to indent your code on if and else statements

#3

I did.

Thanks for your time.
