Pyglatin 3

#1

Hi,

My name is Liam. Im from England. I am stuck on Pyglatin 3.

This is my code so far:

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

Start coding here!

raw_input("Enter a word:")
def original:
original = raw_input('Prompt)

any help gratefully received

You weren't supposed to use a function there. A better (and shorter), neater) alternative would be:

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'
raw_input("Enter a word:")
original = raw_input()

Thanks Aravind, great help :smile:

I'm Jannetta. I'm a bit stuck, too. It's telling me to type "print user's word" but I don't know what the word will be so how do I go about that?

What I have so far:

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

original= raw_input("Enter a word")

if len(original)>0:
print "user's word"

else:
print "empty"

Hi Jannetta, you have set the word that will be used under the variable of "original" hence you have to print original instead of "user's word"

so it will look like this

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'

original= raw_input("Enter a word")

if len(original) > 0:
print original

else:
print "empty"

hopefully you've already figured it out but ill still post this comment just in case
