Projects (short and long-term) for a Classics student interested in programming

I am a classics student, so I study Latin Greek etc… I am looking for ideas for projects and things to look into learning which would pair nicely with my interest in the applications of programming to language analysis etc.

Open to any ideas for projects and topics that might be able to be applied to my interests in languages.

basically looking for potential courses to look into, what topics to look into, what projects (big or small) to look into

Python & NLP come to mind for linguistics. But, ultimately, it’s up to you how you want to combine them with your linguistics background for projects. There’s a computational linguist, Dr. Emily Bender, whose work you might want to look into as well.
