Probably a basic beginner issue

I’m trying to add to a line of code without replacing what I’ve already written. Example: say I made a typo when writing “taco” and typed “tao” instead. Now, I want to add the “c” into the word without deleting the “o”.
I can’t find the answer anywhere, so it’s probably so basic of a question that most people inherently know it, but nonetheless, I’m absolutely lost and don’t want to have to replace a whole line of code because of a mistake a made towards the beginning of the line.

please help, I’m the beginner of all beginners and as such am making constant mistakes that make me have to constantly rewrite entire lines of code just to try and get past the lessons

So uh. Editors tend to have cursors you can move around in the file and insert things anywhere…?

You may have to hit the insert key on your keyboard if the text erases as your typing a fix earlier in the line.
