Possible grammer error

I am not sure, but it looks like there is a word missing in the following sentence:

A parameter acts as a variable name for a passed in argument.

This text is in the following lesson: Python->Parameters and Arguments
I am not sure it it's actually a mistake and if so, whom I should report it to.

It's not a grammatical error I can see.... It means passed in as in passed through

@cssjumper79280 there is no word missing in the statement considering the context in which it was made

Passed in should be hyphenated like so: passed-in. That would make the sentence grammatically correct.
