I’m excited to share my latest portfolio project: a Mortgage Calculator developed in Python! The aim of this project is to help prospective homeowners better understand their mortgage options and financial commitments.
About the Project
The Mortgage Calculator allows users to input various parameters, including:
- Purchase price of the home
- Annual interest rate
- Loan term (in years)
- Number of payments per year
- Annual property tax rate
- Annual insurance rate
Using this information, the calculator computes:
- Monthly payments
- Total interest paid over the life of the loan
- A detailed amortization schedule
- Visual representations of payments over time
