Please help me

print 'Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!'
raw_input("Enter a word:")
original = raw_input

if len(original) > 0:
print original

print "empty"

it says:
Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!
Enter a word: hi
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "python", line 5, in
TypeError: object of type 'builtin_function_or_method' has no len()

original = raw_input("Enter a word")

Now original is a string with a len() method. You may want to test with a longer word than 'hi'.

piglatin = raw_input ("Please enter in a word to be changed to pig latin: ")
line = piglatin.replace(piglatin[0], "")
if piglatin.isalpha():
print line + piglatin[0] + "ay"
print "You put in a bad character or two, try again."

--------------------The first line is to get your input.
--------------------The 2nd line is to create a string that does not have the first letter
--------------------The 3rd line creates a if statement but the piglatin string has to be alpha only
--------------------If it was not alpha that is when the else statement kicks in and it says you messed up.
