Pig latin

#1

Code doesn’t workL
original = raw_input(“Enter a word:”)
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
print original
else:
print “empty”

#2

rint ‘Welcome to the Pig Latin Translator!’

Start coding here!

original = ""
original = raw_input(“Enter a word:”)
if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
print original
else:
print "empty"
I get error that claims I wiped out "original"
None of my entries to input show up
This is a big time-waster

I believe if you remove the line above the raw_input you will get past this.

While there’s nothing technically wrong with it, the lesson doesn’t call for it, and it’s not needed. Using raw_input initializes the variable.

Hope that helps.
