Pig latin exercises

#1

hi! i am a newbie regarding python.i am in pig latin exercise now.This is the code am using:

pig='ay'
#Enter a word
original=input("Enter a word")
if original>0 and original.isalpha:
   print("Original")
else:
  print("empty")
word=original.lower

After this,its throwing an error(invalid syntax).Please enlighten.(am using python 3.4.3)

#2

isalpha() and lower() are method calls, they require parentheses

#3

Even after using a parenthesis,its an error.

#4

here:

if original>0

you want to see if the length of orignal is greater then zero

if you need more help, post an updated version of your code
