Part of the Whole error

get_class_average([alice]) returned 80.55 instead of 91.15 as expected


Hey all, I am looking through my code, but I can't seem to find the error for why it would be expecting one value but returning another.
Any help would be great, thanks!

Your indentation here. It looks like you should be returning the for loop.

Okay, sorry about that. I would have love to see your edited code though.

Set the students list outside your function also. See below for full.

students = [lloyd, alice, tyler]


def get_class_average(students):
    results = []
    for student in students:
        results.append(get_average(student))
    return average(results)

I hadn't called the list for students outside the function.

students = [lloyd, alice, tyler]
def get_class_average(students):

results= []
for student in students:
    results.append(get_average(student))
return average(results)

That worked for me now. Thanks!
