I have similar code to the above but I moved the "return" command outside of the loop but I'm getting the following error

Oops, try again. get_class_average([alice]) resulted in an error: list indices must be integers, not str

you are append `students` (which is a list with students) to results, this doesn't work. get_average is designed to calculate the average grade for a single student, not a list of students.

append the average one student to the list in each iteration of the loop (this is why you have a loop)
