No error messages received; however, after submitting, it only says the computer's choice. For example, it will say, "Computer: rock". It never displays a return message ie "paper wins", "result is a tie", "rock wins", etc. Isn't it supposed to display a winner message?

Also, did I do this part correctly? I did NOT receive any error messages; however, I noticed that some people replaced all "choice1's" with "userChoice" and replaced all "choice2's" with "computerChoice." I did not replace all of them, yet did not receive any error messages. What is the correct way?

Thank you in advance.

var userChoice = prompt("Do you choose rock, paper or scissors?");
var computerChoice = Math.random();
if (computerChoice < 0.34) {
	computerChoice = "rock";
} else if(computerChoice <= 0.67) {
	computerChoice = "paper";
} else {
	computerChoice = "scissors";
} console.log("Computer: " + computerChoice);
var compare = function(userChoice, computerChoice) {
if(choice1 === choice2) {
    return "The result is a tie";
}
else if(choice1 === "rock") {
    if(choice2 === "scissors") {
        return "rock wins";
    }
    else {
        return "paper wins";
    }
}
else if(choice1 === "paper") {
    if(choice2 === "rock") {
        return "paper wins";
    }
    else {
        return "scissors wins";
    }
}
else if(choice1 === "scissors") {
    if(choice2 === "rock") {
        return "rock wins";
    }
    else {
        return "scissors wins";
    }
}
};

HI first thi sline

var compare = function(userChoice, computerChoice)

where you put userChoice, computerChoice you should put choice1, choice2 then you call the function compare with the arguments userChoice, computerChoice
