Parameters inside function

#1

How can you define a single parameter in a function to be more than one values for example
def add(x):
the x can be more than one integer and it can be single digit or 100 digits.
because if you do this
def add(x,y,z):
the maximum values it can add is only 3.

#2

You will use arguments called *arga and **kwargs a really good and simple example of how they work is showed on this blog its old but still relevant http://www.saltycrane.com/blog/2008/01/how-to-use-args-and-kwargs-in-python/
