Orion Constellation Project

Hello, here’s my solution to the subject project. For some reason, I can’t seem to rotate the 3D graph. I appreciate everyone’s feedback.

z = [2.06, 0.84, 1.56, 2.07, 2.36, 1.72, 0.66, 1.25,1.38]

fig = plt.figure()
ax = fig.add_subplot(1,1,1)
constellation2d = plt.scatter(x,y)
plt.show()

fig_3d = plt.figure()
ax3d = fig_3d.add_subplot(1,1,1,projection=‘3d’)
constellation3d = plt.scatter(x,y,z, linewidth = 3)
plt.show()

I compared it to my code and notice that there’s a line missing before your import statements:

%matplotlib notebook
from matplotlib import pyplot as plt
from mpl_toolkits.mplot3d import Axes3D

The %matplotlib notebook part allows you to rotate the graph. You’ll have to import that before pyplot.
