Opening files in jupyter notebook

I wanted to open an external file within Jupyter notebook, to work on certain exercises. Needed to know where to store them, so I can open them from within the terminal.

Eg Wanted to parse data from a .txt file from Jupyter

Welcome to the forums!

You don’t have to store the file anywhere in particular, just make sure to pass in the correct path when you’re opening it from the Jupyter notebook. If you want to make it extra easy, you can always save it to the same directory as your notebook file.
