* {
	border: 1px dashed black;
}

div {
	height: 50px;
	width: 100px;
	border: 4px solid #ff0000;
	border-radius: 5px;
	background-color: #308014;
	margin: 20px 50px 10px 5px;
	padding: 40px;
}

When I follow the instruction, I find it still said "Oops, try again. It looks like your padding-top isn't 40px."
I tried split them one by one and still not working. And I searched this problem in forum, some is because they lack of a "semicolon", but I checked, I haven't lost any semicolon. I am stucked here, anybody could help a brother out? :smile:

It may be that your html isn't linked up to your css, so in that case could I see your html?

#3

put the padding property before height property like this
* {
border: 1px dashed black;
}

div {
padding: 40px;
height: 50px;
width: 100px;
border: 4px solid #ff0000;
border-radius: 5px;
background-color: #308014;
margin: 20px 50px 10px 5px;
}

#4

How would that change anything?
