Oops, try again. Did you remember to float .left to the left?

#1

.left{
float:left;
}
.right{
float:right;}

#2

Can we see your full css code?

#3

div{
height:50px;
width:200px;
background-color:Navy;
border-radius:5px;

header{

position:fixed;
z-index:1;}

.left{
float:left;
}
.right{
float:right;}

#4

iv{
height:50px;
width:200px;
background-color:Navy;
border-radius:5px;}

.left{
float:left;}

 .right{
     float:right;

}

header{

position:fixed;
z-index:1;}

Solved.

#5

seems you figured your div was missing a closing curly bracket, good job :slight_smile:

#6

everything was ok in float left but did not work

#7

Could you please copy full html + css code to the forum? For all i know, you forgot a closing curly bracket somewhere (}), or made all your divs fixed (float doesn't work with fixed elements)

it worked finally without discovering what was the problem. I only added something then removed it and it worked. I did not like the way these courses are designed especially in the way they produce error messages. I benefited from the course since I am new to HTML, but I was very annoyed at times because of this problem
