I’ve been struggling with understanding the media queries for this project. I’m kinda getting there but one thing has thrown me and it has nothing to do with media queries. In the starting CSS there is the below code associated with the header section which is not subject to any media queries.

nav li:last-child {
  display: none;
}

My interpretation is this is telling the browser not to display the last li in the navbar which I think refers to the “Join Us” button. But this is what I don’t understand, this is followed by

header .mobile {
  display: none;
}

further down the CSS. As the button is within the nav section with class “mobile” surely the first block of code is irrelevant?

Hoping someone can help untangle my toughts :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Hello there

As I understand the last li on the desktop navbar is for the tablet format. The idea is to use the same desktop navbar for tablets as they are similar, the button being the main difference. On desktop the button is hidden, and displayed with a media query on tablet.

Hope this helps!
