NYC Codecademy Chapter Event: Crash Course on JavaScript [February 5]

Crash & Build Series [part 2]: Go from zero to ready with this crash course on JavaScript!

About this event

Don’t get stuck in tutorials! How many times are you going to re-learn the same lessons over and over again? It’s time to sit down, let go of the deadweight and grab the next rung on the ladder. We are going to do away with the details and technicalities and focus on what works and how to put it together to make it work for us.

YES IF:

  • You are new to JavaScript
  • You know a little about JavaScript but want to learn more

  • You are already well-versed in JavaScript
  • You don’t need any help using JavaScript in your websites
  • You are looking for more advanced topics like React, Angular, Node, etc.

People have been asking if you need to have attended Part 1 of the series in order to attend this event (Part 2).

The answer is no, you don’t need Part 1

Part 1 of the series was focused on HTML/CSS, and works as a foundation block to this Part 2, where we will focus on using JavaScript to make websites interactive. As long as you understanding the basics of HTML/CSS, you will find Part 2 useful!

Also, we shared the slides from Part 1 on the Discord server, so you could always get those if you want a refresher
