None of my pics show up in the table

#1

Is that by design? or is my code broken? the robot at the bottom said "Way to go! Start next lesson'

#2

Can you show us your code?

#3

<td><a href="http://thinkwritespeak.com"><img src="https://www.static.pexels.com/photos/21461/pexels-photo-medium.jpg"></td></a>

repeated for all nine photos . . . but for different photos.

#4

just sent code, but it doesn't show on my reply here. did you get code?

#5

But the only way for us to determine why it won't show, is if we can see the code, so please copy paste your code the forum if you want our help

#6

Sorry about the mixup -- I pasted above in reply.

#7

I still don't see the code. Trying again:

<td><a href="http://thinkwritespeak.com"><img src="https://www.static.pexels.com/photos/21461/pexels-photo-medium.jpg"></td></a>

#8

Apparently I cannot show you my code. It doesn't show up in my reply.
Any suggestions on an alternative route to show my code?

#9

The image you use doesn't exist, which why it won't show. this is the url of the picture, and as you can see, it doesn't exist (or is private), which why it won't show

for next time, use one of the two following options to make your code/indent is visible:

select your code and press ctrl + shift + c (or cmd + shift + c if you use a mac)

if this instructions are unclear, you can also insert 3 backticks before and after your code, like so:

```
<p>visible</p>
```

the backtick is located above the tab key on your keyboard

Thank you! I appreciate your help.

I'm having this problem trying to use images from flickr. Is this because they will be deemed private?

#12

could be, can i see your code?

#13

It seems to be flickr and facebook urls. I've just tried using some image url from photos that are hosted on a wordpress site I have access to and they all worked fine

#14

Then it is the privacy setting, as you hopefully can understand there is very little i (we, codecademy) can do about it

#15

Completely understand. I was hoping to use flickr as the image urls are much shorter than half the ones on google images :stuck_out_tongue:

#16

why not simple shorten urls with a tool like goo?

#17

Thanks, I'll give it a go

#18

You have to close your (a) tag before you close your (td). I couldn't post it with the usual tag brackets so had to resort to ( and ). Hope this helps.
