So I would like to know if this would be a correct way of nesting.

.container {
min-height: 100%;
display: flex;

.nav {
width: 15%;
min-width: 140px;
color: $secondary-color;
padding-top: 55px;
padding-right: 30px;
text-align: center;

h4 {

-webkit-margin-before: 0;
margin-left: 50px;

ul {

list-style: none;

.nav would be nested inside container and the h4 and ul children would be nested inside .nav.
Is this a right practice?

As far as brackets indicate, the nesting is discernible as described. A little effort on your part to learn how to format code in posts will go a long in the future toward helping others read your code. Search the forum for how to format code in posts.
