i don't understand the request

Replace this line with your code.
pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')
word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
new_word = word + first + pyg

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
    print original
else:
    print 'empty'

this is my code

#2

Coloque seu código " if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha(): " abaixo do código " original = raw_input('Enter a word:') "

Then: Note the statement. There is one more thing to be done and this thing is embedded in the instruction of whose lesson.

I'm waiting...

#3

bro,the request is "Set new_word equal to the slice from the 1st index all the way to the end of new_word. Use [1:len(new_word)] to do this."
maybe i have some mistakes with language,so i don't understand the real target

#4

Paste your current code here so I can take a look.

#5

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')
word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
new_word = word + first + pyg

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
print original
else:
print 'empty'

here is it
thank you

#6

Your code should start with: "if len (original)> 0 and original.isalpha ():" and then come "word = original.lower ()"!

After the code "new_word = word + first + pyg" is missing here below.

You should do this:
My_example = my example [10: len (my_example)]

My code above is just a demo! You should do this using "new_word"
