I finally amended my GitHub code so you can view the website with the css working

Any thoughts or feed back all welcome… 
Thank you again Blake for your advice… it wasn’t just my link at the top but a couple throughout that was still linked to the applications folder too.
Now I finally can create a individual respository for each of them.
