Your page is a little crowded. It could use more negative space between sections. I like how you’ve added floating icons to the side and how you let readers pick a color scheme. (My personal favorite is either your default or Barbie.)
I can recommend some tweaks to help it shine:
- Barbie: Contrast between text and background colors is poor. Darken the text and/or lighten the background for readability.
- USA: The high-sat vibrating colors are nearly unreadable. I’d improve light/dark contrast and stick to more desaturated tones.
- Brat: Maybe desaturate that bg color as it could be too intense for readers with migraines or visual sensitivity.
Thoughts on projects:
- Web design, HTML cheat sheet: The Obitron font is hard to read except in large headings. I suggest switching to a simple, easy-to-read sans serif for body text. The colors are cool, though!
- Your elegant Fanfare Trumpets site has no margin-bottom and could use a little there. I do like its design and colors. A future improvement could involve spicing it up with things like hover effects.
- It would be cool to get to demo your “Mixed Messages” program and read some generated headlines.
