Move it on back

#1

i have no idea what i did wrong it keeps telling me it isnt returning correctly. Im on lesson 9 of Pyg Latin
This is my code below

pyg = 'ay'

original = raw_input('Enter a word:')

if len(original) > 0 and original.isalpha():
word = original.lower()
first = word[0]
if first == "a" or first == "e" or first == "i" or first == "o" or first == "u":
new_word = word + pyg
print new_word
else:
print "consonant"
else:
print 'empty'

#2

in that lesson all you have to do is to create a new variable called new_word and set it equal to the concatenation of word, first, and pyg.
so i think you forgot to add first like this new_word=word+first+pyg
