%matplotlib notebook not working

I am trying to use the following command in jupyter notebook but it won’t work:

%matplotlib notebook
from matplotlib import pyplot as plt
from mpl_toolkits.mplot3d import Axes3D

I am getting this error message:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'matplotlib'

I do not know what I am doing wrong. I need this for the Orion Constellation data science skill path project. Here’s the link:

Thank you for your help :slight_smile:

It seems like matplotlib either isn’t installed or isn’t installed somewhere that the notebook can locate. How did you install matplotlib? Was it via pip or with conda?

You can check the installed packages with pip list or conda list if you’re installing everything via conda.

Yeah, you were right, it was not installed. Thanks for the tip!
