gives me this error message. why does this not work?

Oops, try again. compute_bill(['apple']) resulted in a TypeError: list indices must be integers, not str

shopping_list = ["banana", "orange", "apple"]

stock = {
    "banana": 6,
    "apple": 0,
    "orange": 32,
    "pear": 15
}

prices = {
    "banana": 4,
    "apple": 2,
    "orange": 1.5,
    "pear": 3
}

def compute_bill(food):
    total = 0
    for item in food:
        total += food[item]
    return total

#2

here:

total += food[item]

food is a list (like shopping_list), we need to add the price of item to total, so use your prices dictionary to get price of item

#5

its asking each prices of item not food list
